Elon Musk Retweeted My Post
Late on October 27, I quote posted about Grok @bot. I called it the iPhone moment for personal agents. I meant it. I had been using it all week and it felt like the first time an agent actually worked for me.
I did not plan a launch. I did not write a thread with hooks. I just said what I felt.
The next day, Elon Musk retweeted it.
Then something I did not expect happened. The post kept moving. Elon kept amplifying it. The Cursor team kept sharing it. The Grok Bot team kept pushing it out. All day, people I admire were putting my words in front of new people.
By the end of it, the post had reached 500k views.
I want to be clear about what made that happen. It was not me. My post was small and honest. It made waves because people with much bigger reach chose to carry it, again and again, for a whole day. I am grateful to Elon, to the Cursor team, and to the Grok Bot team for that.
Here is what I am taking away from it.
Genuine appreciation travels. People can tell when you are selling and when you are simply saying thank you. The second one is rarer, and it spreads further than you think.
Building in public works best when you share what you actually feel. Not a pitch. Not a growth trick. Just a real reaction to something real.
And you never know who is reading. A sincere post from a regular person can land in front of the people who built the thing. When it does, they often want to share it too.
So if something you use makes your day better, say so. Tag the people who made it. Tell them why it matters to you. It costs nothing, and it might make their day too.
Thank you to everyone who read, shared, and replied. I am still smiling about it.
