Choices and consequences.

Every choice you make will have some expected and some unexpected consequences.

You can’t just take the good and leave out the bad. It’s the full package.

If you were interested in tennis and “decided” to pursue it, you will have to embrace all the consequences of that choice — the delightful moments, the bland ones and even the difficult periods. It’s all part and parcel of the game.

Your job is to cherish the delightful moments, turn the bland ones into micro memories and handle the difficult periods with faith and dignity.

You cannot quit when things get tough. That’s just not how you build character.

The same applies to people in your life. Sometimes people make mistakes or give you unwanted unpleasant feelings on a random day. You have to have the wisdom to discern that they fundamentally don’t hate you but just that they are cherishing themselves and dwelling on what’s bothering them at the moment.

The real solution is they should simply accept whatever is bothering them and move on. It is simple but in practice the hardest to follow.

The same way, from your point of view, you cannot fight their vulnerability with resistance either. You simply have to accept it and move on. It is a hard thing but the right thing to do. Don’t lose hope. Have faith and dignity in your difficult situations.

At the end of the day, you are your choices. You have to live with both the highs and lows.
