Recap 2018

As we draw close to the end of the year, I wanted to write one last post on this blog reflecting some highlights.

In 2018, I made countless mistakes, several judgement errors and lost my emotions on multiple occasions. These scars helped me in my journey of self-inquiry and taught me a thing or two about how to build character and purpose. Additionally, I am extremely thankful for your readership and I appreciate your continued attention to my writing. Now, below are two key questions I wanted to reflect on today:

What am I grateful for in 2018?

  • The habit of building and shipping simple products (3 so far)

  • The habit of leading weekly founder sessions at ATV (9 so far)

    • Come to our next event (signup here) if you are in Atlanta

  • The product wisdom gained through building a B2B startup that couldn’t hit Product Market Fit

  • The habit of daily meditation (3551 minutes so far) — thanks to the app “Simple Habit”

  • Learning how to master my mind and solve my problems better through Meditation Sessions (30 sessions so far)

  • Understanding the most important concept of compassion

  • The habit of writing frequently (106 blogposts so far)

  • The habit of keeping in touch with key people biweekly

  • Applying key lessons from an insightful book into my life (Atomic Habits)

What do I want to do more of in 2019?

  • Cherish and serve others’ needs more than mine (It’s a lofty but a worthy goal!)

  • Figure out new skills I can learn

  • Exploit my existing skills to the maximum

  • Expand my knowledge on human behavior

  • Expand my product wisdom

  • Develop better habits

  • Replace unskillful behaviors

  • Be a better human

In 2019, I sincerely hope to be able to share more of my discoveries (however small or huge!) with you and continue our journey. Have a wonderful new year!
