Empty chair in every meeting.
After the incredible legacy of Steve Jobs, the next most talked about CEO who is widely considered as the number 1 is Jeff Bezos.
Bezos founded Amazon back in the 90s and is a visionary like Steve. Recently, he even unveiled his ambitious plans for the future of shopping.(drones)
Clearly, he is ahead of the pack.
But what makes him remarkable is not that he’s betting huge on futuristic technology. But they way he talks about still keeping the customer’s satisfaction at the center of every major decision.
In one of his recent interviews, he mentioned an interesting thing that every entrepreneur needs to notice:
Bezos leaves an empty chair in all of his meetings. He says, it belongs to the most important person in the room, THE CUSTOMER.
He further argues that no major technology upgrade is worthy if it doesn’t make the customers’ life easier. The customer doesn’t exist because of the company, but the other way around.
Think about it, how many times do we even consider how a customer feels about our product/service?
